COURSE STRUCTURE
Really superb
A complete professional
The best facilitator of a storytelling course ever and getting better and better.

CLOWN WORKSHOP, ABERDEEN COLLEGE, STAFF TRAINING

'I gained confidence, enthusiasm and the ability to be more relaxed about living in the now and not having everything prepared.

'More confidence and a brighter outlook on life. I am really inspired after your course'

'This course was a confidence builder also made you consider what you were doing with your life. The course made me feel more confident about taking part in events, and also let me consider my attitude to work. I gained insights into my own life and also came to know the other participants much better than previously. The course also reminded me that high energy and a positive mental attitude all bring better and more satisfying results.'

'I feel more confident to speak in public and attempt things I may not have before. If I can stand up in front of strangers and do the things I did on this course then I can at least attempt normal things!'

'Greater self awareness and self confidence - if I can stand up in front of a bunch of people wearing a red nose I can do anything!. The course allowed me a degree of self expression I would normally deny myself. I learnt about my own and others' body language and status play. It was a good team building exercise, allowed me to see the other participants in a completely new light - who would forget Alistair's Polish folk dancing! ( You had to be there..)'

'The ability to laugh at myself and to feel happy with others laughing at and with me also. I have also met with a new side to my character - one which I like and plan to have fun with. I was extremely happy with the fact that even though I was the only outsider apart from the tutor, I felt relaxed and at ease very quickly. I would also say that the course boosted my self confidence.'

IF YOU CAN SPEAK YOU CAN SING:
'When can we do it again?'

'As a teacher myself I was impressed by the handling of the group and different abilities. Everyone was involved, given equal attention and positive feedback. As an adult learner I lacked confidence and felt this was given a boost. The approach to teaching singing was novel and interesting.'

'Learned more than I expected to. I enjoyed it all. When are you doing another one?'

'I thoroughly enjoyed myself at your classes, especially as my self-esteem was quite low at the time. I have recently enrolled for the Music Diploma - my study being my voice!'

'You brought out the sounds of our voices so skilfully'

'First I must say that my expectations were left in the shadows. The classes I found rejuvenating and all together the 'recipe' was a great experience.'

'These classes were excellent as a way of developing the voice we were born with. 10 out of 10 for achievement!'

'It was fantastic to realise what we could do with our voices with the right guidance. Also the confidence it gave people was super. It was amazing to hear the difference in the voices from the beginning of the course.'

CLOWN EVENING CLASS

'I expected to break through my limitations and did!'

'It's a very healthy way of finding qualities in one's character and something that is VERY useful fro daily life. You need your own clown every day, that's for sure. A beautiful thing! Thanks!'

'I didn't expect it to be such good fun! (and healthy!)

'The sheer comedy from watching others was superb. I wish the course had been longer so we could fit more in. More please!'

'Angela visited Fyvie School to present storytelling workshops with P1-7 and took part in a marvellous Assembly on Joy and Sorrow. We would welcome her back anytime. Having had everyone yelling with laughter at her clowning antics, two minutes later the proverbial pin could have been heard drop as she spoke movingly about sorrow in her own life. Whatever age group she worked with, the children were absorbed in practical activities and thought provoking discussion. Pity all work on 5-14 guidelines (language, expressive arts, R.E.) cant be so much fun!' Grainne Smith, Fyvie School

'Angela Knowles is an attractive, positive person to whom people respond with warmth and enthusiasm. She is skilled at encouraging people to lay aside their inhibitions and so learn by doing. She is particularly adept at introducing them to the art of storytelling especially with children. I wholeheartedly recommend her and her work.' John Clark, Principal, St Colm's College, Edinburgh.

'Angela's approach to teaching and performing is bright and infectious.'

'What a sheer delight to be with you. I am honoured to have worked with you, grateful for your gifts, your insight, your story, your life experience.' Denis Dewey, Biblical Storyteller, 'Stories of the Celtic Saints'
